Bushfires WA (PERTH)

Strong winds are making it hard for firefighters battling to contain bushfires that
have destroyed up to 40 houses on Perth's outskirts.

Regional coordinator JOHN MCMILLAN says crews are still struggling to contain two big
fires .. at Roleystone in the Perth hills .. and at the edge of the Swan Valley in the
north.

He says they're grateful no lives have been lost .. but the bushfire emergency warning
remains current for parts of Roleystone and Kelmscott .. …
